Rest in peace, Terri

Word has come that Terri Schiavo has died. May she rest in peace. The controversy won't end with her death, I'm sure. The questions raised about the right to live despite the inconvenience or perceived "value" of an individual life will rage on. God help our country. Will we look back in 25 years and see this as a turning point? I'm sure we will, just as we look back to January 1973 and the Roe decision.

Remember O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that any one who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, we fly unto thee, O Virgin of Virgins, our Mother. To thee do we come, before thee we stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not our petitions, but in thy mercy, hear and answer us. Amen.
